Enhance NEB - Open Call 2027

Strengthen it. Scale it. Replicate it.

The EIT Community New European Bauhaus invites eligible project partners from previous Connect NEB and Co-create NEB projects to apply for the Enhance NEB 2027 Open Call.

Enhance NEB supports projects ready to build on previous results by strengthening what works, scaling their impact, or replicating successful approaches in new locations.

The call will support four projects with up to €92,500 in EIT funding per project, over a maximum implementation period of 12 months.

About the New European Bauhaus and EIT Community NEB

The New European Bauhaus is an EU initiative that connects the European Green Deal with everyday life, supporting the creation of places that are sustainable, inclusive and beautiful.

The EIT Community New European Bauhaus led by EIT Urban Mobility in collaboration with EIT Food and Climate-KIC supports local innovation, citizen engagement, entrepreneurship and place-based transformation across Europe.

Enhance NEB is designed specifically for projects that have already been supported through eligible Connect NEB or Co-create NEB projects in 2025 or 2026 and are ready to take their work further.

About the programme

Enhance NEB provides up to €92,500 in EIT funding for eligible previous project partners to take successful work to the next stage:  expanding and consolidating results, increasing long-term impact, and strengthening, scaling or replicating their projects.

Projects can follow one or more of three pathways:

Strengthen
Deepen collaboration with partners and local networks, consolidate existing solutions or methodologies, and increase their long-term impact for communities and territories.

Scale up
Expand partnerships, implementation or geographical reach to benefit more people, institutions and places.

Replicate
Build on positive results by adapting the approach to a new location and establishing the local partnerships needed for successful implementation.

All proposals must contribute to the three New European Bauhaus values of Sustainable, Beautiful and Together, while considering participatory, multilevel and transdisciplinary approaches.

We are looking for projects that:

  • build clearly on the achievements of a previous eligible Connect NEB or Co-create NEB project;
  • strengthen, scale up or replicate successful approaches;
  • continue meaningful collaboration and co-creation with communities and relevant stakeholders;
  • increase the impact and benefits generated for communities, institutions and places;
  • strengthen organisational capacity and established practices;
  • demonstrate potential for medium- and long-term durability and transferability;
  • integrate the New European Bauhaus values of Sustainable, Beautiful and Together.

Thematic areas:

Applicants must select one primary thematic area and may select a secondary area where relevant:

  • Climate
  • Food
  • Urban Mobility

At least one project is expected to be selected under each primary thematic area.

Timeline

What selected projects receive

Selected Enhance NEB projects receive support throughout their implementation period.

In addition to funding, participating teams will have access to:

  • Individual expert mentorship providing specialised support in design and business development
  • An in-person meeting for Lead Partners at the end of the programme
  • Potential additional online cohort sessions to exchange experiences, strengthen connections and support the development of partnerships
  • Ongoing interaction with the EIT Community NEB team throughout implementation
  • EU-wide visibility and communications support, including opportunities to showcase project results and success stories across EIT Community NEB channels and its wider European network

How to apply

Applications must be submitted through the EIT Urban Mobility Programmes Portal, also known as NetSuite, by 17 November 2026, 17:00 CET.

Before starting your application, please make sure all consortium partners have completed the steps below.

  1. Check whether you have a PIC number

All applicants must have a valid Participant Identification Code (PIC) before submitting a proposal. 

A PIC is a nine-digit identification number used by the European Commission. Applicants can obtain a PIC by registering in the EU Funding & Tenders Opportunities Portal. 

If your organisation already has a PIC, you do not need to register again. You can check whether your organisation already has a PIC directly through the EU Portal. 

  1. Register or log in to NetSuite

Applications are submitted through the EIT Urban Mobility Programmes Portal (NetSuite). 

All consortium partners must be registered in NetSuite and complete the required Partner Information Form (PIF).

If your organisation is already registered, you can log in and continue directly to the application.

If you have never registered, click Register, select the relevant organisation/individual registration option and complete the Partner Information Form with the required details.

If the system does not allow you to register because your PIC number or email address is already linked to an existing entity, please contact: servicedesk@eiturbanmobility.eu 

  1. Open the Enhance NEB call in NetSuite

Once you are logged in to NetSuite, go to:

  • Grant Management > Grant Management > Open Calls

Then select:

  • Enhance NEB Open Call 2027

The Lead Partner is responsible for creating, completing and submitting the proposal on behalf of the consortium.

Where a consortium does not include a city or another local or regional public authority directly, but instead includes an entity affiliated with one, the required evidence of affiliation or Declaration of Affiliation must also be submitted with the application.

  1. Complete andsubmityour application 

Complete all mandatory fields in the NetSuite application form, ensure all consortium partners have completed their registration requirements, and upload any mandatory supporting documentation.

Submit the complete proposal before 17 November 2026, 17:00 CET.

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
