The EIT Community NEB Gathering 2026 brought together over 45 representatives from 28 projects across 15+ countries in Barcelona for 1.5 days of exchange, collaboration and strategic dialogue.
Uniting municipalities, local innovators, European Commission representatives and ecosystem partners, the event strengthened connections across the New European Bauhaus (NEB) community and reinforced a shared mission: transforming local action into lasting European impact.

The Gathering focused on matchmaking, public space transformation, community engagement, impact measurement and storytelling — positioning neighbourhood-scale initiatives within the broader European NEB strategy and future funding opportunities.
This booklet captures the key insights, reflections and next steps that emerged from the event, highlighting how small-scale, community-driven projects contribute to a more sustainable, beautiful and inclusive Europe.
